BMW Announces Executive Changes
    WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J., Sept. 13 / -- BMW of North America, Inc. today announced 
the following executive appointments:

    Gene Donnelly will fill the newly created position of Vice President,
Sales and Center Development.  Working in the BMW Group's U.S. Headquarters in
New Jersey, he will oversee the Sales; Center Development and Vehicle
Processes; and Retail Operations departments.

    Donnelly was named to his current position, General Manager, Central
Region, in September 1993.  The Central Region, based in Schaumberg, Illinois,
encompasses a 13-state area in the Midwest.

    Gene Donnelly joined BMW in November 1991 and has since held various
executive positions.  He is an automotive industry veteran with more than 25
years of experience.  While his most recent experience is on the
manufacturer's side of business, he has also spent over 6 years on the retail
side.

    Wayne Orchowski will become the General Manager of the Central Region.
Orchowski will be responsible for all sales, marketing; aftersales; customer
satisfaction; and dealer development activities within the region.

    Having been with BMW for 14 years, Orchowski has held many positions
within the BMW organization in the National Headquarters, Eastern Region,
Southwest Region, and most recently has been the Southern Region Sales and
Marketing Operations Manager.

    These changes will go into effect October 1st.  As historically has been
the case, the four BMW Regions will continue to report to the BMW President
and CEO, Tom Purves.

    BMW entered the North American market in 1975.  Since then, the company
has grown to include marketing, sales and financial service organizations in
the United States and Canada; a South Carolina manufacturing operation; a
design firm in California; a technology office in Palo Alto; and various other
operations throughout the U.S. and Canada.  BMW is represented in North
America through a network of more than 375 automobile and 190 motorcycle
retailers in the United States and Canada.  BMW (US) Holding Corp., the
company's North American headquarters, is located in Woodcliff Lake, New
Jersey.
