Rolls-Royce Announces New Appointments

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Inc. Announces New Appointments
    AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Sept. 13 / -- Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Inc., has 
announced the appointment of James F. McDonald as Regional Vice President for 
the West Coast region.  Mr. McDonald has an extensive motor industry background 
and has spent many years directing significant retail operations, and in 
senior motor industry management positions.

    Jim McDonald joins the company from the Delta Chevrolet Dodge Mazda Nissan
dealership, where as President, he was responsible for overall management of
four franchises operating in three separate facilities.  Previously, Jim
worked with Val Strough Group, Inc., as President, having overall
responsibility for seventeen franchises in nine locations.  Prior to V.S.G,
Inc., Jim worked for Chevrolet Motor Division at General Motors Corporation in
a variety of senior regional positions.

    His appointment completes the establishment of three new regional offices
for North America, in California, Florida and New Jersey.  The company's main
headquarters is now located in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

    The President of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Inc., Alasdair Stewart said: "The
appointment of three highly experienced motor Industry professionals as
regional vice presidents, and the relocation of our now regional offices,
brings the company closer to its business partners, our dealers.  It will also
allow us to strengthen links with our owners to ensure we continue to maintain
the unique ownership experience they expect."

    In addition to Mr. McDonald, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Inc. recently
appointed Mr. Carmen Gautille to the role of Eastern region Vice President.
Mr. Gautille's background includes extensive European brand experience with
Saab and Volvo, as well as a period as dealer principal for a Chevrolet Volvo
retail outlet in New Jersey.

    Mr. Gautille spent a total of ten years with Saab in a range of senior
management positions.  Most recently Mr. Gautille was regional director for
Saab's south east region, and prior to that he was western region director.
He also operated a Chevrolet/Volvo dealership in Egg Harbour, New Jersey and
prior to that he spent ten years with Volvo of America.  His extensive
experience in both Industry and retail management will ensure smooth
implementation of new marketing and dealer assistance programs.

    The regional vice president for the south central region, John Bingham,
has been with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Inc. for the past 15 years in a range of
senior management positions, most recently as National Marketing Director at
the company's previous New Jersey headquarters.

    Prior to this he was the company's General Manager for Sales.  Mr.
Bingham's Rolls-Royce and Bentley experience began in 1985 when he joined the
company in England as regional sales manager for western UK and Ireland.
Prior to this he was zone sales manager for Renault UK in north west England.

    Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Inc., reports 1999 sales to the half year in June
are up 74% over the some period last year.  The President and CEO, Alasdair
Stewart said: "We are delighted to see the sharply increasing demand for the
new Rolls-Royce Seraph and the Bentley Arnage and with the generally strong
market we believe the trend will continue, giving us our best sales year in
North America for some time."
