MagnaWorks Appoints Benninger Vice President
    TROY, Mich., Sept. 13 -- MagnaWorks, a joint venture of Magna
International, Inc. and Magellan Corp., has announced the
appointment of Gary N. Benninger as vice president. He joins MagnaWorks
president Earl Hughson in developing the company into a leading provider of
advanced vehicle navigation systems to the automotive industry.
    Benninger brings more than 25 years of automotive experience to
MagnaWorks. He has an extensive history with Magna International, having
joined the company in 1983, and served in numerous executive positions. In his
last position as executive vice president - engineering and research and
development, Benninger led Magna's technological renaissance by creating a
focus on internal product development and strategic corporate acquisitions.

    Benninger is known among his colleagues in the automotive industry for his
active management style and is characterized as a visionary who works well
with partnerships.

original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of passenger and commercial vehicles
