Detroit Diesel Announces the 500,000th Series 60 Engine Sweepstakes WinnerDALLAS, Sept. 10 -- During the inaugural Great American Trucking Show, Detroit Diesel Corporation (DDC) announced the winner of the 500,000th Series 60 production engine. Miller E. Rehm, an owner/operator from Foley, Alabama, was randomly selected from over 30,000 entrants. Mr. Rehm currently runs a Series 60 powered Kenworth T600. Mr. Rehm met the eligibility requirements of 18 years of age or older, holds an active and current CDL, pre-registered for the Great American Trucking Show and confirmed he's had accident-free driving for the last 500,000 miles or more. "DDC reached an important benchmark with the production of our 500,000th Series 60 production engine. The Series 60 engine has been the most popular heavy-duty engine in North America since 1992 and we've just added a fourth assembly line to increase capacity to our 100,000 Series 60 engines a year," said Dave Mayoras, Vice President of On-Highway Sales. The Series 60 engine is available from 330-550 hp and up to 1850 lb. ft. of torque.
