Detroit Diesel Announces Supply Agreement With JB Hunt TransportDETROIT, Sept. 10 -- Detroit Diesel Corporation (DDC) announced an agreement to supply Series 60 engines to JB Hunt Transport, Inc. JB Hunt is one of the largest common carriers in North America. JB Hunt is featuring the Series 60 engine as part of its new equipment package in its advertising campaign to attract drivers. The campaign includes the slogan " ... come to work for the company that has the horsepower to pull the hills while paying the bills." Lud Koci, Vice Chairman of DDC states, "We couldn't agree more with their choice of words. The Series 60 engine has been the most popular engine in North America since 1992 because it offers the lowest cost of operation combined with the highest level of driver satisfaction." Specifics of the agreement were not revealed, but industry analysts expect JB Hunt to buy several thousand Series 60 engines. The Series 60 engine is available from 330 hp and up to 1850 lb. ft. of torque. Detroit Diesel Corporation is engaged in the design, manufacture, sale and service of heavy-duty diesel and alternative fuel engines, automotive diesel engines, and engine-related products.
