Extends Exchange Note DeadlineMINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 9 -- Dura Operating Corp., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dura Automotive Systems, Inc. , commenced an exchange offer on August 10, 1999 whereby it offered to exchange its euro 100,000,000 9% Senior Subordinated Note, due 2009 (the "Euro Notes") for new notes identical in all material respects to the Euro Notes, other than that they are registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (the "Exchange Offer"). The Exchange Offer was scheduled to expire on September 8, 1999 at 5:00 p.m., New York City time. Dura Operating Corp. has extended the deadline to exchange the Euro Notes until 5:00 p.m., Luxembourg time, on Thursday, September 16, 1999. All of Dura Operating Corp.'s $300,000,000 9% Senior Subordinated Notes, due 2009 (the "Dollar Notes") have been tendered for exchange and the exchange offer with respect to the Dollar Notes has expired.
