PNV.net Adds U.S. Xpress' 4,500-Tractor Fleet to Its 'In-Cab' Communications and Cable TV Network

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla.--Sept. 9, 1999--PNV.net (formerly Park 'N View) has signed a contract to provide its in-cab communications services to U.S. Xpress, a long-haul trucking company based in Chattanooga, Tenn.
The agreement will provide U.S. Xpress' 4,500 drivers with private voice communication and free local and 800 number calling from the privacy of their cab. Other PNV.net services, such as cable TV and Internet access, will be available to U.S. Xpress drivers at a discounted rate. The Park 'N View service is currently available at more than 230 truckstops nationwide.
U.S. Xpress CEO, Max Fuller said, "We respect our drivers for the excellent work they do, the lifestyle sacrifices they make and the difficulties they must deal with on the road. By providing Park 'N View, we will be able to improve the quality of our drivers' professional and personal lives. Furthermore, having phone service in every truck while parked at Park 'N View-enabled truckstops will mean significant savings since our drivers will be able to avoid the public payphone network, eliminating dial-around charges."
U.S. Xpress Enterprises, Inc. is a service leader in the transportation industry, providing customized transportation, logistics and information services that position the company as a preferred provider, or "core carrier," to a diversified group of high-quality customers.
PNV.net (formerly Park 'N View), based in Coral Springs, Fla., is the leading single-source provider of telecommunications, cable television and Internet access services for the long-haul trucking community.
