Easyriders Announces Joint Venture With Speedvision; Sponsored Segments Expected to Reach 20 Million Viewers
AGOURA HILLS, Calif.--Sept. 8, 1999--Easyriders Inc. (AMEX:EZR) Wednesday announced that it has entered into a joint venture with the Speedvision Network for plans to air a series of broadcast segments on Speedvision's "American Thunder Show."Every American Thunder Show will feature a "Tech Tip" segment produced by Easyriders. The segments will feature a Harley "makeover" in twelve installments. The three-minute segments are slated to begin airing in November on cable systems nationwide. Speedvision has a viewership of 20 million. The American Thunder Show will run in syndication for one year.
"The strong demand for this new segment reinforces the gaining popularity of the motorcycle industry as a whole," said Bill Prather, chief executive officer of Easyriders. "The motorcycle riding population has been, and continues to be, a growing opportunity for our company. We think these segments will appeal to bikers from all walks of life."
The three-minute Tech Tip segments will show viewers how to personalize and customize their stock Harley. From adding horsepower to wild custom paint, the segments will focus on showing bike owners how to make their own custom "two-wheeled" dreams come true.
"Bike owners take great pride in their motorcycles," said Dave Nichols, editor for Easyriders Magazine. "The purpose of the Easyriders segment of `American Thunder' is to show bikers how they can personalize and customize their own bike so that they can enjoy the ultimate ride."
