Isuzu Record-Breaking 1999 Sales Performance Marches On

    CERRITOS, Calif.--(AutomotiveWire)--Sept. 7, 1999--American Isuzu Motors Inc. (AIMI) announced August commercial vehicle retail sales that are the second-highest figures for the month of August in the company's history.
    The strong August numbers pushed Isuzu's commercial vehicle division's year-to-date sales figures to a 27% increase over 1998 year-to-date numbers.
    The NPR gas and NPR gas H.D. Class 3-4 trucks, the industry's only gasoline-powered low cab forward trucks maintained their impressive sales performance with a 41% increase over the 1998 year-to-date figures.
    Continuing to establish its presence in the Class-5 market with the NQR and FRR models, Isuzu achieved a 21% increase over 1998 year-to-date figures. Isuzu's Class 5-7 F-Series trucks continue to increase in sales, building a 45% increase over 1998 year-to-date sales figures.
