Willans is New ProRally Contingency Sponsor

ENGLEWOOD, Colorado — Willans Safety Harnesses is the latest supplier
of fine racing products to become a contingency sponsor of the
Michelin SCCA ProRally Championship. Through US distributors Zephyr
Enterprises, Willans is making awards available in an innovative
fashion that emphasizes helping teams coming up through ProRally's
learning ground, ClubRally. The intent is to help new teams and those
on the way up within the sport of performance rallying.
 
    Credits of $75, $50 and $25 will be awarded to the top three
finishers overall in ClubRally events run in conjunction with a
ProRally. However, the awards will be available only to competitors
possessing a ClubRally license. No dual license holders will be
eligible. In addition, cars must carry ClubRally numbers (200 and
higher) in order to be eligible.

     Willans also will award a $50 credit to one competitor in every
ProRally. In a novel twist, though, it will not go to the winner.
Instead, it will go to the last competitor to drop out of the event.

     The program commences with the Prescott Forest ProRally, which
will be held in Prescott, Arizona on Oct. 1-2.
