S&P Affirms Credit Ratings for Collins & AikmanTROY, Mich., Sept. 2 -- Collins & Aikman today announced that Standard & Poor's Corporation (S&P) has affirmed the Company's corporate credit rating and has taken Collins & Aikman off its CreditWatch listing. Collins & Aikman had previously been placed on CreditWatch by Standard & Poor's in April, 1999. Commenting on both the rating affirmation and the Company's removal from S&P CreditWatch, Thomas Evans, Chairman and CEO of Collins and Aikman stated, "We are extremely pleased that S&P has affirmed our corporate credit ratings and has taken Collins and Aikman off its CreditWatch list.
