Omron Dualtec is Certified for ISO14001

    FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Sept. 2 -- Omron Dualtec Automotive
Systems has registered and received certification for the ISO14001
environmental management standard.  This standard, being implemented in all
manufacturing facilities throughout the Omron Automotive worldwide
organization, is a formal review, evaluation and audit of a company's
environmental management systems.  This certification follows the company's
registration to QS9000 and ISO9001 in 1997.
    Compliance with the standards set forth in ISO14001 demonstrates Omron's
ongoing commitment to the global environment, and their ability to
simultaneously reduce costs while enhancing product quality and customer
service.
