Individual Investor Magazine Names Onyx Acceptance One of America's Fastest Growing CompaniesSelect List of 100 Companies Based Primarily on Earnings Growth FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif., Sept. 2 -- Individual Investor magazine has included Onyx Acceptance Corporation in its list of America's Fastest Growing Companies (AFGC 100). The publication surveyed America's 9,000 publicly traded corporations to find the fastest growing. Individual Investor published the AFGC 100 list in its September 1999 issue. There were 19 companies with a market capitalization of $75 million or less that made the AFGC 100. Of those, 15 companies received a "thumbs down" opinion from the publication. Onyx was one of 4 companies in this group receiving a "thumbs up" opinion from the publication. Selection Criteria To be considered for a spot on the list, a company had to meet the following criteria: -- 100% or more increase in quarterly earnings per share in 1999 -- 20% or higher revenue growth, and -- earnings of $0.05 or more per share in the year-ago quarter The AFGC 100 companies range in market capitalization -- the number of shares outstanding multiplied by the share price on a given date -- from $8 million to $44 billion.
