UniBar Inc., bar code software manufacturer, today announced BARCODE 2000(TM) Version 4/JAVA, server-based label printing software for applications running under UNIX, LINUX, and Windows(R) NT systems. Over 20 systems are supported in the flexible BARCODE 2000 bar code printing software solution. Written in JAVA, the BAR CODE 2000 label designer has WYSIWYG capabilities for UNIX, LINUX, and Windows NT users. This client/server solution provides a powerful and easily integrated way to print bar coded labels or documents throughout the enterprise from a single server. BARCODE 2000 is application and printer independent. It requires simple interfacing to run seamlessly with most major WMS, ERP and custom application software.
BARCODE 2000 offers enterprise print features which are especially convenient for its industrial/commercial client base using enterprise-wide ERP and WMS software. Users can print anywhere on the network -- network, local, remote printers, and file print destinations are supported. In addition, BARCODE 2000 4.0/JAVA offers high-performance laser support for UNIX, Windows NT, Windows and LINUX systems, as well as full support on thermal printers.
Unibar BARCODE 2000 4/JAVA has the following components:
JAVA Label Designer allows users to design custom labels and forms using a one-time process, and print test labels. BARCODE 2000 Label Data Dictionary Editor - define variable label data easily, one time. The defined fields can be used in all labels.
BARCODE 2000 LABEL FORMATTER provides data mapping and printing services.
