Saeli as Vice President -- Mergers and Acquisitions and Leslie A. Touma as Vice President -- Corporate Relations. (Photo: NewsCom: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/19990901/DEW003-a http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/19990901/DEW003-b ) In his new position, Saeli is responsible for Lear's global merger and acquisition activities, reporting to Lear Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Donald J. Stebbins. As Vice President -- Corporate Relations, Touma is responsible for the direction and management of Lear's corporate communications, government relations, community relations and marketing communications functions worldwide. She reports to Lear Vice Chairman James H. Vandenberghe. Saeli joined Lear in 1998 as Director of Mergers and Acquisitions prior to being appointed to his current position. He previously was employed with The Oxford Investment Group in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan since 1998, most recently serving as a Vice President. Saeli earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Columbia University in New York, New York. He and his wife, Molly, reside in Birmingham, Michigan with their four children. Touma joined Lear in 1994 as Director -- Corporate Communications. Prior to joining Lear, she served as policy advisor to Michigan Governor John Engler on international trade issues. She also served as a policy analyst on strategic and theater nuclear defense issues at the U.S. Defense Department. In that capacity, she was a member of the U.S. Strategic Arms Control Delegation in Geneva, Switzerland and served at the U.S. Mission to NATO in Brussels, Belgium. After taking a leave of absence in 1998 to campaign as the Republican candidate to represent Michigan's 12th Congressional District, Touma returned to Lear early this year as Director -- Corporate Relations. Touma is President of the Canada-U.S. Business Association (CUSBA) and Chair of the East Region for the Bush Presidential Campaign in Michigan, serves on the Advisory Committee of the Women's Economic Club and is a Board Member of the American Arab Chamber of Commerce. She also serves on the National Association of Manufacturers' Public Affairs Council, and is an active member of the Economic Club of Detroit and the Women's Automotive Association International. Touma earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science from Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan and a Master of Arts degree in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C.
