NASCAR WWEST: Woodside and Bill McAnally Racing Go Hollywood

2 September 1999

September 1, 1999 (Roseville, CA) - When Fox Broadcasting Company (Fox)
premieres its new television show, "Malcolm In The Middle," this winter,
viewers will have an opportunity to see both a hot new series and one of
NASCAR's hottest West Coast race teams together on their television screens.

The "Malcolm In The Middle" episode entitled "Stock Car Races" will feature
the entire Bill McAnally Racing team in footage shot at Irwindale Speedway
yesterday and during the August 21st SNAP-ON 250 for the benefit of City of
Hope. Regency Television Production, Inc., the company producing "Malcolm In
The Middle," followed the team through its pre-race activities and throughout
the race. The production crew also met the team at Irwindale Speedway
yesterday and spent the day shooting additional footage for the episode.

"Malcolm in the Middle" will be a weekly family comedy seen through the eyes
of the family's middle child, a reluctant child genius. "Stock Car Races"
explores an adventurous day at the races for Malcolm, his brothers and their
dad. Fox has not announced the premiere date.

Team owner Bill McAnally said, "Working with the production crew was a lot of
fun, and having the team and the race car featured in "Malcolm In The Middle"
will give our sponsors a lot of great exposure. We appreciated the
opportunity to be involved in the project."

Now that the film shoot has been completed, McAnally Racing is en route to
Salt Lake City to compete in the Bank One 250 at Rocky Mountain Raceways on
Labor Day. With 10 of 14 events on the 1999 NASCAR Winston West schedule
completed, the team is leading the series in the points standings, laps led,
laps completed and best average finish categories, as well as the Gatorade
Front Runner and Clevite Engine Builder awards.

"This weekend's race is important to us," commented Woodside on the upcoming
race. "We ran well during practice at Irwindale, but our race could have
been better."

Despite flat tires and spinouts during the recent Irwindale event, the team
finished in 10th place and increased their points lead by almost thirty
points. Solidifying their points lead will be the team's number one priority
this weekend.

Bill McAnally Racing (BMR) owns and operates the No. 16 NAPA Auto
Parts/Martin Senour Automotive Finishes/NAPA Filters/California Integrated
Waste Management Recycled Oil Program Chevrolet Monte Carlo NASCAR Winston
West team with Sean Woodside as driver. They are leading the series in the
points standings, the Gatorade Front Runner Award, the Clevite Engine Builder
Award races, laps led, laps completed and best average finish. Current season
results include one win, three top five, seven top ten finishes and one Bud
Pole Award. Woodside finished both the 1997 and 1998 seasons in second place
in the Winston West points standings.
