Pierce Manufacturing Introduces New, Premium-Performance Commercial Pumper On a Kenworth T300

APPLETON, Wis.--Aug. 28, 1999--Oshkosh Truck Corporation's subsidiary, Pierce Manufacturing Inc., North America's leading manufacturer of custom fire apparatus, launched a new line of commercial pumpers built on the Kenworth T300 fire-and-emergency chassis at Fire-Rescue '99, the convention of the International Association of Fire Chiefs in Kansas City, MO., held August 28 - 31.
In response to fire service demand, the new line of Pierce(R) commercial pumpers is engineered to give fire departments a new choice in high performance and long-term value. The apparatus displayed at the exhibition included a two-door pumper and a four-door T300 chassis. Pierce and Kenworth worked on the four-door version to exactly fit fire departments' needs. With seating for up to six, the four-door model is available to the fire service exclusively from Pierce.
"Pierce offers fire departments an outstanding new choice in commercial apparatus with the addition of the Kenworth T300. These are the same qualities that Pierce builds into its own custom chassis," said John Randjelovic, president of Pierce Manufacturing.
The new commercial pumpers expand Pierce's offering of commercial apparatus. Units are available for sale immediately.
