Philadelphia Eagles Launch Volvo S40 and V40 Models
ROCKLEIGH, N.J., Aug. 27 -- The Philadelphia Eagles will help
introduce the City of Brotherly Love to the new Volvo S40 and V40 models at
the last exhibition game of the season, taking place Thursday, Sept. 2 at
Veterans Stadium against the Cleveland Browns.
One lucky fan will win a two-year lease of a Volvo S40 or V40 during
halftime. Other halftime entertainment includes a stunt bike show by a member
of the Volvo Cannondale cycle team.
"Last year, we introduced the upscale S80 sedan at the Art Museum,"
recalls Dave Simonetti, General Manager of the Philadelphia Hub for Volvo Cars
of North America, Inc. "These newest Volvos are expected to appeal to more of
a football-oriented crowd."
Simonetti and Peter Butterfield, Vice President of VCNA's Northern Region,
will do the coin toss as honorary captains of the Eagles and Browns that
evening.
The S40 sedan, starting at $22,900, and the V40 wagon, starting at
$23,900, officially go on sale September 1. More information on the cars is
available at http://www.thenextvolvo.com.
