Polaris Names Richard Pollick Vice President-International
MINNEAPOLIS--Aug. 25, 1999--Polaris Industries Inc. has named Richard R. (Dick) Pollick to the newly created position of vice president-international. Pollick assumes the new post September 20, 1999.Pollick joins Polaris from The Toro Company where he has been vice president and general manager for Toro's International Division since 1990. Under his leadership, Toro's international sales grew from $90 million to $250 million annually and the scope of Toro's international operations expanded to include 75 countries, manufacturing facilities in Australia and a distributor network spanning Europe, Japan and Southeast Asia.
Pollick also served Toro as president, Toro Credit Company, director of distributor development and president and general manager of Lunalite, Inc., an outdoor lighting business acquired by Toro. He joined Toro in 1982 as director of marketing for the company's Consumer Products Division.
Earlier in his career, Pollick was director of marketing for snowmobiles at Arctic Cat and vice president, marketing for Wetbike and Suzuki outboards.

Polaris currently sells it products through 54 distributors serving 113 countries around the world. International sales accounted for six percent of the company's 1998 revenue.
Dick holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Oberlin College in Ohio.
