TRACKS: Lebanon Valley caps off 1999 season with a full September card

26 August 1999

WEST LEBANON, NY- Its seems like the first green flag of the 1999 season just
fell, but already we are closing in on the final checkered flag of the 47th
season of racing here at Lebanon Valley Speedway. Four events will comprise
the September racing action and bring the 1999 racing season to a close,
heading us into the new millenium.

The fine folks at PEPSI COLA will bring the final regular Saturday night
of action to us. Lebanon Valley will crown the champions of the Modified,
Sportsman, IMCA Modified and Street Stock divisions on this night. Kenny
Tremont looks well on his way to a eleventh modified track championship. It
has been a record-breaking year for the West Sand Lake native as he closes in
on the all time win record. The rest of the top ten is up for grabs and it
should be an exciting last couple of weeks to see who finishes where in the
final standings.

The Sportsman division champion will come right down to the wire as Art
Collins and George Marcus are separated by just two points and both are
looking to add to their point championship collection.

The IMCA Modified division championship is also up for grabs. Veteran
racer Jim Rajczi holds a slim 6-point lead on youngster Brian Wilbur.

Long time Lebanon Valley competitor Jim Langenback will be looking to
celebrate another championship in the Street Stock division as they close out
their point races on September 4th also. The Street Stocks will be on hand
September 11th for a special invitational race as part of the CARQUEST KINGS

SUNOCO RACE FUELS MR DIRT MODIFIED TRAIL. Many of the top names in DIRT
motorsports will be on hand, trying to earn important points toward the
overall Mr. DIRT Championship.

The modifieds are certainly not the only division at the Valley for the
CARQUEST KINGS 200 WEEKEND. The highlight of Saturday's card is the annual
100 lap RACE OF KINGS for 358 modifieds sponsored this year by SARATOGA
