Federal-Mogul Announces Organizational Structure, Friction Products, Europe
    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Aug. 24 -- Dr. Ian R. Edmondson, vice
president, Friction Products, Europe, Federal-Mogul Corporation
announces the organizational structure for Friction Products, Europe, with the
following appointments effective immediately:
    *  Jim Dixon, director, manufacturing
    *  Bruno de Cenival, director, international business
    *  Dr. Hans Guenther Paul, director, research and development
    *  Antonio Martinez, director, purchasing
    *  Paul Parnham, director, operations, friction international
    *  John Tudor, finance controller

    All positions will report to Edmondson.
    "We have aligned our international business within our European team to
create a more global offering to our customers," said Edmondson.  "This is a
strong team, well recognized in the industry, who can take us to our next
phase of growth."

    Jim Dixon, Director, Manufacturing
    Jim Dixon is appointed director, manufacturing.
    Prior to this appointment, Dixon served as managing director of Federal-
Mogul Friction Products Ltd. in the United Kingdom.  Dixon joined the group in
1995 as a divisional director of Ferodo Ltd. in the United Kingdom from Davy
International where he had held a number of positions including manufacturing
director and personnel director.
    Dixon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics at the University of
Manchester, England.

    Bruno de Cenival, Director, International Business
    Bruno de Cenival is appointed director, international business.
    De Cenival joined Federal-Mogul from Purflux Labinl-Filtranto where he
held the position of division manager.  He was previously chief executive
officer with Manducher (Euroter GmbH).  Prior to this, de Cenival worked with
Valeo as deputy division manager and earlier as general manager, France, Valeo
Engine Cooling.  De Cenival also held executive sales and technical roles in
Valeo, Heat Transfer, rising to business manager heat exchange.  Previously,
he worked with Aerospatiale, rising to aerodynamics engineer, tactical
missiles division.
    De Cenival earned a degree in engineering from the Ecole Nationale
Superieure de Mecanique Automobile and a business administration degree from
the Institut d'administration des entreprises.

    Hans Guenther Paul, Director, Research and Development
    Hans Guenther Paul is appointed director, research and development.
    Prior to this appointment, since 1996 Guenther Paul was technical
director, light vehicles, Europe.  Guenther Paul held a number of research and
development positions in the European friction industry before joining the
group in 1994 at the Ferodo Technical Center in Bad Camberg, Germany.
    Guenther Paul earned a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the Technical
University.

    Antonio Martinez, Director, Purchasing
    Antonio Martinez is appointed director, purchasing.
    Martinez previously held the position of aftermarket business director,
Friction Products, with T&N.  He began his career with Garnecto in Spain in
1965, joining T&N in 1989 on the acquisition by T&N of Garnecto.  Martinez has
held a number of management positions including managing director of Ferodo
Necto SA in Spain.
    Martinez earned a diploma in economics and is a Chartered Accountant with
a diploma in Accountancy and Tax from the University of Barcelona, Spain.

    Paul Parnham, Director, Operations, Friction International
    Paul Parnham is appointed director, operations, Friction International.
    Parnham previously held the position of managing director, Friction, South
Africa, having been promoted from the position of general manager, Aftermarket
Manufacturing, Ferodo.  Parnham previously held the position of factory
manager, Ferodo, Caernarfon.  Parnham joined Ferodo from BICC Cables Ltd.
where he held the position of business manager, having held the positions of
manufacturing manager and senior manufacturing engineer.  His earlier career
was that of design draughtsman with Shandon Southern Products, British Nuclear
Fuels, and as an apprentice with New World Gas Cookers.
    Parnham earned a Higher National Diploma in mechanical engineering from
Warrington Technical College.

    John Tudor, Finance Controller
    John Tudor is appointed finance controller.
    Prior to this appointment, Tudor held the position of financial
controller, Friction Products.  Previously Tudor held the position of chief
accountant and management accountant - Ferodo Ltd.   Tudor's earlier
experience in finance includes financial accountancy, development accountancy
and former T&N Head Office accountancy.
    Tudor earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Nottingham
University, England, and is an Associate Chartered Management Accountant.
