AmeraPARTS State-of-the-Art Transmission Production Line Goes Operational

    ATLANTA--Aug. 24, 1999--

Featuring Latest Technology, Transmission Remanufacturing
Line Provides Rapid-Delivery Source of Certified OEM Quality
Transmissions for Repair Shops

AmeraPARTS International, L.L.C. (formerly AutoSTAR USA, L.L.C.), a premier wholesale processor and distributor of top-quality remanufactured automotive parts, has announced its new, state-of-the-art transmission manufacturing assembly is fully operational, with an engineered production capacity of over 60,000 transmissions per year.
This transmission operation features the "New Generation" of Axi-line(TM) dynamometers, as well as ANSWERMATIC(TM) valve-body testing equipment. Transmission shops will have access to in-stock units being shipped within 24-hours.
"Because of our state-of-the art transmission remanufacturing operation in Atlanta, AmeraPARTS will be able to provide transmission shops with the same source of supply and level of service previously available only to franchised automobile dealers," said James R. Johnson, CEO of AmeraPARTS. "This means AmeraPARTS will be the best choice as a highly reliable, high-quality source for a large variety of makes and models of automatic transmissions."
From its internally supplied source of transmission "cores," AmeraPARTS disassembles and then thoroughly tests the transmission, including all electronic solenoids and sensors. The core is then cleaned in a state-of-art system designed exclusively for the AmeraPARTS operation, is inspected by an ASE-certified technician, and then is reassembled in a dust-free, humidity-controlled, state-of-the-art "clean" room, where it is remanufactured to OEM (original equipment manufacturer) specifications. The certified units are then packaged and shipped for immediate delivery to customers.
"Our business represents a source of profit for transmission shops because we have a large volume of high-quality units they can use to replace the hard-to-fix transmissions that come into their garages," added Johnson. "This is a new era in the remanufactured transmission business, and AmeraPARTS, with our unparalleled service and technical support, environmental concern, manufacturing superiority and the most competitive pricing in the business, is at the forefront."
The Atlanta plant, part of a multi-million dollar renovation of an old Ford parts distribution plant, is engineered and is staffed to turn out 60,000 transmissions per year. For more information, call toll-free to 877-321-2002.
