KleenAir Details Plans for Test Demonstrations

DANA POINT, Calif.--Aug. 24, 1999--KleenAir Systems, Inc. (OTC BB:KAIR) today presented details on upcoming demonstrations, scheduled for the first week of October, of its NOxMaster(TM) NOx reduction system for use with diesel engine vehicles.
The first of these test demonstrations has been scheduled for a major international manufacturer of diesel engines. It will combine the NOxMaster(TM). The second demonstration planned is of the NOxMaster(TM) with an exclusive KleenAir SRC Diesel Catalytic Converter, suitable as a universal converter replacement or retrofit system. This system is to be demonstrated in conjunction with the UK government's planned implementation of new emission standards for the existing fleet of over 20,000 London Taxicabs, notorious for heavy and highly visible pollution.
The company is negotiating a purchase order in the UK for the NOxMaster(TM) for use off-road vehicles for delivery in the first quarter of 2000. The company is also negotiating distribution arrangements and a purchase order for its Diesel Catalytic Converter in the UK with deliveries to start this fall.
The company's strategy in the diesel mobile source pollution control market is to combine its patented NOx reduction technology with other particulate reduction systems to offer a single integrated OEM, replacement or retrofit integrated exhaust system that dramatically reduces all the key pollutants associated with diesel engines. The company believes that regulatory authorities will increasingly favor the use of after-engine exhaust treatment systems to control emissions.
As the company progresses with its Test and Evaluation program, it is beginning to work with a variety of potential customers and licensees in both the retrofit and OEM markets with deliveries anticipated in the early part of the year 2000.
The company is in the business of developing NOx reduction systems for the automotive market together with appropriate catalytic converters designed to operate effectively with the company's patented products.
