Collins & Aikman Ranked 17th Largest Global Automotive Interior SupplierTROY, Mich., Aug. 23 -- Collins & Aikman Corporation is the 17th largest supplier in the global automotive interiors industry, according to the August 1999 issue of Automotive & Transportation Interiors. The trade magazine named the top 100 companies worldwide in the automotive interior supplier industry, ranked by 1998 auto interior-related sales. In 1998, Collins & Aikman had sales of $1.8 billion, a 12 percent increase from the Company's 1997 sales of $1.6 billion. The magazine used industry estimates for companies that did not provide sales figures.
