Smooth Sounds Now Available With Visteon's CD6 In-Dash Music System
DEARBORN, Mich., Aug. 17 -- Visteon's latest innovation
promises consumers a virtual revolution in vehicle audio convenience,
integration and sound quality.
Visteon Automotive Systems is introducing the new CD6 Music System, a
premium audio system upgrade combining a 6-disc CD changer, AM/FM stereo
receiver and 4x20 watt amplifier all in one unit that fits into a vehicle's
dash.
The new Visteon audio system answers consumers' wants for multiple CDs
while eliminating the hassles and limitations of space-consuming magazine-
style multiple disc changers installed in the console or trunk. Visteon now
provides the opportunity to load up to six CDs in the dash right from the
driver's seat. The new system also features:

-- A 3-second memory buffer virtually eliminates all skipping
-- 80 watts of high-output power versus standard 24-watt audio systems
-- Random shuffle within a single CD or across all six CDs
-- Steering wheel and rear seat control capability (if equipped)
-- Cell phone interface (if equipped)
-- Fit and finish equal to factory-installed audio systems
-- Direct CD loading in the Instrument Panel, eliminating the need for a
        CD Magazine

"Our CD6 Music System is another terrific example of Visteon's ability to
take what consumers are asking for and turn it into top quality automotive
systems solutions," said David Peace, vice president of Global Aftermarket
Operations. "Consumers want convenience, top-quality sound, and the ability
to enjoy a range of music whether traveling smooth or bumpy roads. The
Visteon CD6 addresses their needs and takes vehicle audio systems to an
entirely new level -- one that offers superior quality in a convenient
integrated in-dash system."
Consumers may request Visteon's CD6 Music System at Ford and Lincoln
Mercury dealers throughout the U.S. on select vehicles. It sells for a MSRP
of $749 installed. The system can also be residualized on Red Carpet Leases
for new Ford and Lincoln Mercury vehicles. Residualization means the overall
cost of the upgrade is included in the terms of the lease so customers pay
only for the length of time they own the vehicle, making this an even more
affordable option.
