CON-WAY L-T-L Components Announce Rate Increase; All Rates and Charges Will Increase by 5.7% Effective October 4, 1999

    ANN ARBOR, Mich.--Aug. 17, 1999--Con-Way Transportation Services announced today that its less-than-truckload (LTL) operating components, Con-Way Western Express, Con-Way Central Express and Con-Way Southern Express, will increase their rates and charges by 5.7 percent effective Monday, Oct. 4, 1999. The rate increase will effect the rates and charges in the CON-WAY linehaul Tariff CNWY-599, and the Rules and Accessorial Services Tariff CNWY-199.
    Con-Way Transportation Services is a $1.7-billion transportation company based in Ann Arbor MI. that provides time-definite and day-definite freight delivery services for commercial and industrial businesses.
