Delphi's Sandusky Plant Receives Ford Q1 Certification
TROY, Mich., Aug. 11 -- Delphi Automotive Systems' Sandusky,
Ohio, plant has earned Ford Motor Company's Q1 Certification for quality,
delivery and ongoing implementation of an effective quality system.
The Q1 certification is the highest commendation Ford gives to its
suppliers. The Sandusky facility supplies transmission roller clutch
assemblies to Ford.
"Our employees, union, suppliers and the Sandusky community should be very
proud of this award," said Delphi Chassis Systems President Guy C. Hachey.
"Over the years, our Sandusky team has earned a reputation for consistently
supplying high-quality wheel bearings, clutch assemblies and other precision
automotive components. Ford's Q1 certification provides well-deserved
recognition for their hard work and their team effort -- attributes that are
critical as we work to expand our global customer base."
Representatives from Ford will visit the Sandusky facility in the near
future to present a plaque and a Q1 flag that will be raised in front of the
plant during the award ceremony. "The flag will be a daily reminder to all of
us that our dedication to producing quality products pays off," said Sandusky
Plant Manager David Moore. "It will also serve as a reminder that we must
keep up our efforts if we want to continue to be a valued Ford supplier and a
major employer in the Sandusky area."

Pentastar from DaimlerChrysler, Toyota's Superior Quality Performance Award,
