Code-Alarm to Supply Remote Keyless Entry for Kia Sportage
    MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich., Aug. 10 -- Code-Alarm, Inc.
(OTC Bulletin Board: CODL) today announced it has begun shipping remote
keyless entry systems for OEM installation on the Sportage line of sport
utility vehicles manufactured by Kia Motors Corporation of Korea.
    The remote keyless entry system will initially be installed as standard
equipment on the Kia Sportage EX, at their five ports of entry in the U.S.
Consumers can also have the remote keyless entry as a dealer-order option for
other Sportage models.  All units include a three-button module, customized
especially for Kia.  The module contains anti-code-grabbing technology and
various system features, including power door lock/unlock, panic alarm,
arm/disarm of factory security system and illuminated entry.
    "Kia has seen great improvement in vehicle sales with its recent marketing
campaign and has gained additional market share," said Mike Schroeder, VP of
Sales & Marketing at Code Alarm.  "The installation of our remote keyless
entry system in the Kia Sportage line represents another step forward in Code
