NASCAR WWEST: Woodside and Bill McAnally Racing Looking to Push to the Top at Portland

11 August 1999

August 11, 1999 (Roseville, CA) - Coming off of a strong performance and
second place finish in the NASCAR Winston West's most recent event, Sean
Woodside and Bill McAnally Racing look forward to Saturday's Grainger
Industrial Supply 200 presented by TCI Digital Cable at Portland Speedway.
Currently running in second place, the team hopes this will be the race that
pushes them to the top of the points standings.

Their past performance provides a good foundation for a successful run in
this year's event. The McAnally Racing fielded car won the event last year,
and Woodside finished both the 1997 and 1998 events in third place.

Woodside said "Bill's team and I both have had good runs at Portland in the
past. We were encouraged by our strong performance at Monroe and happy with
our second place finish there. We believe that we have a good chance at
bringing in our second win for the season this weekend but, really, our goal
is to maintain or better our points position and, hopefully, take over first
place in the points standings."

Woodside will represent McAnally Racing at Portland Speedway's Fourth Annual
Doernbecher Drivers Challenge presented by Grainger as part of the weekend's
festivities. The Challenge is scheduled for Thursday, August 12 from 7:30 to
9:00 p.m. at Malibu Grand Prix, 9405 SW Cascade Ave. in Beaverton, OR, just
off Highway 217. Woodside is one of several Winston West drivers who will
compete against contest winners on Malibu Grand Prix's mini-road course.
Proceeds from a silent auction to be held during the event will benefit the
Doernbecher Children's Hospital.

Woodside and team owner Bill McAnally are also looking forward to visiting
with the NAPA Mountain Division's Portland distribution center and hosting
NAPA's many manufacturers, the NAPA distribution center employees, store
owners and customers who will gather at Portland Speedway to support the
team.

The Grainger Industrial Supply 200 presented by TCI Digital Cable 200 will be
televised tape delayed (date to be determined) by Speedvision.

Bill McAnally Racing (BMR) owns and operates the No. 16 NAPA Auto
Parts/Martin Senour Automotive Finishes/NAPA Filters/California Integrated
Waste Management Recycled Oil Program Chevrolet Monte Carlo NASCAR Winston
West team with Sean Woodside as driver. They are in second place in the
points standings, and are leading in the Gatorade Front Runner Award and
Clevite Engine Builder Award races. Current season results include one win,
three top five and five top ten finishes. Woodside finished both the 1997
and 1998 seasons in second place in the Winston West points standings.
