SDRC Introduces SPACE - the SDRC Partnership for Competitive Excellence -- SPACE Will Enable Innovation and Time-to-Market Initiatives for Major Manufacturers Worldwide --

    CINCINNATI--Aug. 9, 1999--SDRC , a leading global supplier of enterprise product development solutions and developer of I-DEAS(R) and Metaphase(R) Enterprise(TM) software, today announced SPACE(TM) - the SDRC PArtnership for Competitive Excellence. SPACE is a new SDRC business model that partners the company with key industry leaders to deliver a packaged solution of people, process, and technology to enable companies to improve the competitiveness of their specific business. The initial focus of SPACE will be to enable global companies in highly competitive markets challenged by speed and innovation to establish world-class engineering processes.

    Eleven key European companies contract in SPACE partnership --

"We introduced SPACE earlier this year in SDRC's European Operations with dramatic results. To date, eleven key European companies have contracted with SDRC in the SPACE partnership, including: ABB Motors and Machines, Bofors, Engel, Knorr, Kverneland, Mannesmann, MoD, Perlos, Viessmann, Wartsila, and Wieland."

    SDRC recognized by Daratech as PPM market leader --

    Enterprise Product Process (EPP), according to Daratech, Inc., a leading industry analyst firm, "is the network of interrelated engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing or construction process chains that an enterprise uses to create products and deliver them to customers.
