Oshkosh Truck Opens Western States Pierce Customer Service Center
APPLETON, Wis.--Aug. 6, 1999--Pierce Manufacturing Inc., North America's leading manufacturer of custom fire apparatus, opened its second service and refurbishment center to support fire departments in the western United States and elsewhere.Robert G. Bohn, president and chief executive officer of Oshkosh Truck Corporation [NASDAQ - OTRKB], made the announcement today. Pierce is an Oshkosh subsidiary.
The new, 23,000-square-foot facility is located in Ontario, California.

The new Pierce Western Regional Service Center will handle major repairs and preventative maintenance for all makes of fire apparatus and ambulances. The facility will provide a complete range of fire apparatus refurbishing services including cab and body replacements; four-door conversions; foam system retrofits; accident repairs; pump repairs, testing and certification. Mobile service is also available for on-site repairs and maintenance. OEM parts will also be stocked.
