Nissan Names Ornelas & Associates as its Latino Marketing Agency
    CARSON, Calif., Aug. 5 -- Nissan North America Inc, (NNA)
announced today that it has named Ornelas & Associates, a Dallas-based
marketing and communications firm, as its agency of record to develop a
national Latino market advertising campaign for the company.
    "There are more than 27 million Latinos living in the U.S., which makes it
the fifth largest Latino population in the world," said Ed Sheehy, Director of
Nissan Marketing.  "By selecting Ornelas & Associates as our Latino
advertising agency, it's our plan to raise the visibility of our products and
capture the attention of greater numbers of Latino new car buyers."
    The Nissan Crew Cab truck, segment-busting Xterra SUV and 2000MY Maxima
flagship sedan are among the latest and hottest products introduced by Nissan.
The Altima mid-size sedan, Nissan's volume sales leader, along with the
sophisticated Nissan Pathfinder, Frontier truck and Quest minivan, continue to
support the Nissan franchise with strong sales and brand recognition.  In
addition, Nissan will introduce a new 2000MY Sentra early next year, which
will be built at Nissan's Mexican plant (NISMEX) in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
