    PARSIPPANY, N.J., Aug. 4 -- Mercedes-Benz USA, Inc. (MBUSA)
has announced the appointment of Paul Juron as general manager, New York
Region.  Juron replaces David Schembri who is now MBUSA's general manager, Los
Angeles Region.

    As general manager, Juron will be responsible for sales, service,
marketing and operations in the New York Region, which has 25 retailers and
encompasses the greater New York metropolitan area including New Jersey and
part of Southern Connecticut.
    Joining MBUSA in 1985, Juron has held various positions at Mercedes-Benz
including regional manager sales manager for the San Francisco Zone, general
sales manager of the former Mercedes-Benz Hollywood retail store, and most
recently, market manager in the San Francisco region, where he was responsible
for the Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Corpus Christi markets.
    Born in Niskayuna, N.Y., Juron has been in the automotive industry for
more than 30 years, beginning his career in his family's multi-franchised
dealership in Saratoga Springs.  In 1975, he joined AMC/Jeep where he held
various retail, marketing and management positions for AMC's Boston Zone.
    Juron holds a B.S./B.A. in marketing from Western New England College and
an MBA from the University of New Haven (Conn.).
    Juron has relocated to Southern New York with his wife and two children.
