SDRC Teams With McGraw-Hill to Offer the I-DEAS Student Edition -- Supporting University Students and Faculty Worldwide With Award-Winning Mechanical Design Automation Software
CINCINNATI--Aug. 4, 1999--SDRC , a leading global supplier of enterprise product development solutions and developer of I-DEAS(R) and Metaphase(R) Enterprise(TM) software, has teamed with The McGraw-Hill Companies to publish the I-DEAS(R) Student Edition(TM). The Student Edition is offered to university students and faculty worldwide and includes educational copies of I-DEAS solid modeling, drafting, and manufacturing software applications, plus on-line tutorials, documentation, and a rapid-prototyping interface. McGraw-Hill will publish and distribute the I-DEAS Student Edition internationally through bookstores in combination with an extensive list of engineering textbooks.According to Jonathan Plant, senior sponsoring editor for Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at McGraw-Hill, "The I-DEAS Student Edition provides world-class engineering software technology to supplement textbooks, multimedia materials, and other teaching resources.
