Infiniti Reports Sales Increase of 51.7 Percent - Luxury Car Maker's July Sales Up for the Fourth Month in a Row -
GARDENA, Calif., Aug. 3 -- Infiniti, the Luxury Division of
Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA), reported total July sales of 6,571 units, an
increase of 51.7 percent versus the previous year and up 13.3 percent versus
last month.
As the volume sales leader, the Infiniti I30 reported sales of 2,870
units, an increase of 76.1 percent over last year. The 1999 I30, which
includes the new "I30 Limited" model will be completely re-designed for the
2000 model year with more performance and luxury features than the current
model. The new 2000 I30 goes on sale next month at Infiniti Retailers
nationwide.
Infiniti's QX4 had sales of 1,693 units in July, up 23.2 percent from the
previous year. Calendar year sales for the QX4 of 9,886 units have increased
10.2 percent versus 1998. The Q45, Infiniti's flagship luxury performance
sedan, posted July sales of 682 units.
The G20, Infiniti's luxury sports sedan, posted sales of 1,325 units,
remaining a consistent seller for the Luxury Division.
Nissan North America, Inc. sales for July, including Nissan and Infiniti
Divisions, totaled 71,620 units, a 3.7 percent increase over last year and a
14.2 percent increase over last month.
