Delphi and Ashimori Announce Teaming Agreement to Expand Seat Belt BusinessTROY, Mich., Aug. 2 -- Delphi Automotive Systems and Ashimori Industry Co. Ltd. today announced that the two companies have signed a teaming agreement that focuses the technical, production, and marketing capabilities of the two companies on developing new business opportunities in automotive seat belts. The announcement was made jointly by Rodney O'Neal, president of Delphi Interior Systems and vice president of Delphi Automotive Systems, Shigeo Ashimori, chairman of Ashimori Industry Co. Ltd., and Hirokazu Yamada, president of Ashimori Industry Co. Ltd. Ashimori Industry Co., Ltd., based in Osaka, Japan was established in November 1878, and restructured as a public company in December 1935. The company celebrated its 120th anniversary last year.
