Mark Jackson Appointed General Manager, Information Technology For Mercedes-Benz USA MARK JACKSON OF MERCEDES-BENZ Mark Jackson, General Manager, Information Technology, Mercedes-Benz USA, Inc.[HD] MONTVALE, NJ USA 08/02/1999MONTVALE, N.J., Aug. 2 -- Mercedes-Benz USA, Inc. (MBUSA) announced the appointment of Mark Jackson to general manager, information technology at the company's Montvale, N.J., headquarters. Jackson replaces Vince Morrotti, who has joined DaimlerChrysler in Auburn Hills, Mich., as director of enterprise programs and leadership. (Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/19990802/NYM058 ) In his new position, Jackson will be MBUSA's chief information officer and will be responsible for planning, organizing and managing all activities and resources relative to information technology for the company. Jackson brings 18 years of diverse business experience in information systems, procurement, finance and accounting. His most recent position was senior manager, transportation systems and e-business solutions for DaimlerChrysler, Auburn Hills. Jackson began his automotive career with the former Chrysler Corp. in 1986, where held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in accounting, finance, procurement & supply, and information technology management. Jackson began his professional career in 1981 with ANR Pipeline Co., in Detroit, Mich. Jackson holds a B.A. degree in finance from Western Michigan University and an MBA from Wayne State University. Jackson has been active in the metropolitan Detroit community with such organizations as the United Way; YMCA; Junior Achievement; P.A.L.; Volunteers of America; and Word of Faith International. A native of Michigan, Jackson has relocated to New Jersey with his wife and two children.
