Thrifty Car Rental Opens In-Terminal Location in Las Vegas

    TULSA, Okla., Aug. 2 -- Thrifty Car Rental opens in-terminal
at Las Vegas' McCarran International Airport, the nation's 11th busiest
airport, effective immediately.
    Las Vegas Thrifty today announced the acquisition of substantially all
principal assets of eight-year-old Airport Rent-A-Car, and will take the
company's place at McCarran International.
    The acquisition will increase the company's fleet size by 30 percent in
Las Vegas.  Thrifty expects the move to significantly impact its local
presence, as well as grow the company's inbound corporate and leisure
business.
    Worldwide, Thrifty has in-terminal locations in 73 airports in the U.S.,
and is in all major Canadian and Australian airports, in addition to being in-
terminal in most major cities in the Caribbean, and Central and South America
where Thrifty has a presence.
