DaimlerChrysler Announces Appointments to Its Quality & Power Train And Engineering & Technology OrganizationsAUBURN HILLS, Mich., July 30 -- DaimlerChrysler today announced executive appointments and organizational realignments in its Quality & Power Train and Engineering & Technology organizations. Effective immediately, Cynthia L. Hess is appointed Vice President - Corporate Quality, reporting to Richard O. Schaum, Senior Vice President - Quality and Power Train Operations. In this position, Hess is responsible for providing enhanced focus on product quality. Most recently, she was Vice President - Small Car Platform Engineering. Effective immediately, John S. Felice is appointed Vice President & General Manager -- Engine/Foundry. Kenneth R. Moore is appointed Vice President & General Manager -- Transmission/Casting/Axle. Felice and Moore will both report to Carlos Lobo, Senior Vice President -- Power Train Manufacturing. Their appointments will streamline and contribute to the overall efficiency of the organization. Frank O. Klegon is appointed Vice President -- Truck Platform Engineering, reporting to Bernard I. Robertson, Senior Vice President -- Engineering & Technology, effective immediately. Klegon is responsible for directing all product engineering activities for the Truck Platform. The company will name a Vice President -- Small Car Platform Engineering at a later date.
