Traylor to Head Guide Corporation's Mexico Operations
    ANDERSON, Ind., July 28 -- Guide Corporation has named Allen
E. Traylor plant manager for its operations in Mexico. The announcement was
made today by Keith E. Merrill, president of Signal and Forward Lighting and
International Operations.
    Guide Corporation is one the world's largest manufacturers of automotive
lighting products. Headquartered in Anderson, Ind., Guide Corporation has
nearly 4,000 employees worldwide. It operates the Signal Lighting Division in
Anderson, Ind., the Foward Lighting Division in Monroe, La., and an additional
manufacturing facility in Matamoros, Mexico. Guide also has a joint venture
operation (Sung San) in Taegu, South Koroa.
    Traylor, of Springboro, Ohio, was previously operations manager of Delphi
Automotive Systems' plant in Vandalia, Ohio. He began his automotive career in
1985 when he joined the Delphi Interior & Lighting Division of General Motors.
At Delphi, Traylor held supervisory positions in accounting, financial
analysis, manufacturing and operations in Vandalia, Ohio, Anderson, Ind., and
Monroe, La.
    A native of Anderson, Ind., Traylor received his accounting and MBA
degrees from Anderson University.
