TOURING: Argentinian driver Osvaldo Cocho Lopez won the 5th of the South American Touring Car Championship in Cascavel

Argentinian driver Osvaldo Cocho Lopez won the 5th of the South American
Touring Car Championship in Cascavel, Paraná.

Lopez was followed by the BMW's of Flávio Nonô Figueiredo and Ingo
Hoffmann.

With this result Hoffmann took the lead of the championship with 67
points and is now followed by Emiliano Spataro (Peugeot 406) with 64 and
Cocho Lopez (Alfa Romeo) with 56.

Brazilian driver Carlos Bueno (Peugeot 406) had a bad race and lost a
good chance to take the lead in the championship.

Polesitter Beto Giorgi, that raced only his second race of the season,
had to retire after having problems with backmarkers.

&From the 20 drivers that compete in this series, 4 are brazilian, 15 are
argentinian and 1 is uruguyan.

In the first 5 races, 3 were won by brazilians drivers and 2 by
argentinians.
