SDRC Announces French, German Release of Metaphase Document Manager -- MetaDM --

SDRC , a leading global supplier of enterprise product development solutions and developer of I-DEAS(R) and Metaphase(R) Enterprise(TM) software, today announced the release of the French and German version of Metaphase Document Manager (MetaDM(TM)). MetaDM is the document management component of the Metaphase Enterprise Solution Series(TM), which builds on Metaphase's powerful enterprise architecture with a line of packaged, web-centric products designed to speed the time to production implementation. MetaDM enables companies to manage all design/engineering data and product documentation in one system throughout the enterprise, and to view, mark up, and print documents created in other applications while viewing the document from within Metaphase.
The French and German release of MetaDM interfaces with the French and German versions of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat, which are commonly used for engineering and product data documentation. This release of MetaDM also enables customers to perform full text indexing and searching of French and German documents for the first time, making it easier for engineers to find specific documents and proceed quickly with product development and design. MetaDM provides the technology to rapidly locate product documents and other product data stored in the Metaphase Enterprise PDM system including concept designs, engineering data, validation test results, design notes, interoffice communications and product configurations.
