CASCAR: Turner wins second Cayuga pole of '99

NELLES CORNERS, ON - Time trials and heat races to set the grid for
tomorrow's Ford Quality Care 250 CASCAR Castrol Super Series East race took
place at Cayuga Speedway on Saturday afternoon. For the second time in less
than a month, the Blue Streak Dodge of Al Turner will sit on the pole for a
CASCAR race at the 5/8-mile Hamilton, ON area track.

The Barrie, ON racer lapped the Cayuga oval in a time of 21.915 seconds,
which was the best of the 39 drivers who participated. During subsequent
heat races, checkered flags went to Ancaster, ON racer Neil Fair,
Hamilton's Nik Lapcevich, and John Fitzpatrick of Ayr, ON. Tim Schmidt of
Walkerton, ON won the Final Qualifiers' race.

Sunday's program at Cayuga Speedway gets underway at 12:30 p.m. with the
driver autograph session on the front-straight. The racers will be
introduced at 1:50, and the green flag is scheduled to fly for the 250 lap
feature event at 2:15.
