Burke Industries-Silicone Products Division Introduces New Interactive Web Site; Silicone Product Industry Leader Uses Web Technology for Global Marketing Support
SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif.--July 22, 1999--The first phase of Burke Industries Silicone Products new interactive Web site has just been completed and is accessible online at www.burkeind.com.The goal of the new site is to become a central online source of product marketing materials and corporate information for marketing reps and customers alike.
"In this age of rapid advances in technology, printed marketing support materials can be obsolete in a few months," stated Martin Suydam, president of Burke Industries Silicone Products. "Online brochures for our many divisions and wide array of products can constantly be revised and downloaded for use as an effective up-to-date marketing tool," he added.
Along with the development of the new public site, an intranet is also being planned as a forum for a wide range of employee activities including: continuing education, newsletter and updates on the popular Burke Industries Excel 2000 Workforce activities. As Burke Industries continues to expand, the intranet will become increasingly useful to continue the "team" atmosphere of Burke Industries.
Burke Industries returned to the veteran technology marketing communications firm Public Communications/West to create the new Web site and provide marketing support services.
"We have worked with PC/W on several projects; they have developed a good working knowledge of what marketing communications goals are important to Burke Industries. PC/W has successfully addressed our target markets in past award-winning advertising and collateral efforts," Suydam added.
