Thomas Built Buses has Agreed to Install Puradyn's Purifiner as an Option At the Factory
BOYNTON BEACH, Fla.--July 21, 1999--Earn California EPA Certification
Puradyn Filter Technologies (OTC: PFTI) reported that Thomas Built Buses, one of the nation's largest provider of school buses have agreed to install the Puradyn's Purifiner On Board Oil Management System at the factory.
This decision by Thomas Built Buses was reached due to a potential $15,000,000 order from Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Presently, Miami-Dade County Public Schools has equipped over 1,100 of their school buses with Puradyn's Purifiner On Board Oil Management System and have been using the system satisfactorily for over 8-years. Their annual savings in new oil purchases alone amounts to $45,000. In addition they have big savings in waste oil disposal, extended equipment life, less down time and less maintenance. Prior to installing Purifiner's, they changed oil and filters every 6,000 miles. Based on their oil analysis, they now just change the Purifiner filter and the OEM full flow filter at 18,000 miles, not the oil. Because of the excellent results of their evaluation and their experience with the Purifiner over the past 8-years, they have equipped the majority of their fleet with Purifiner's. For the future, all new units being purchased will be specified with Puradyn's Purifiner from the factory on all new buses purchased.
Their decision to equip their fleet with Purifiners was also based on testimonials from other satisfied users. Most important is the "Certification" in 1998 by the California Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Toxic Substances. The Purifiner is the only product of its type to be certified by CAL/EPA. In the certification CAL/EPA states, "This certification is specific to the reduction of engine oil usage and used oil. The system has been shown to be an effective means of extending engine oil change intervals through the removal of particulates, water, and dissolved fuel. Extension of drain intervals reduce: 1) use of new oil, 2) generation of used oil, and 3) potential of spills while draining and transporting used oil. If properly operated, monitored, and maintained, Puradyn's on board oil management system maintains the following engine oil properties within acceptable limits for continued use: viscosity and solids content, water, coolant, fuel, wear metals, and oil additives."
Puradyn Filter Technologies, Inc. manufactures and markets a patented pollution-reduction technology designed to reduce or eliminate oil changes and extend the useful life of engines and other equipment by providing a continuous oil purification process. The Purifiner is a bypass filtering system that removes solid contaminants down to less than 1-micron and evaporates liquid contaminants such as fuel, water and glycol, while replenishing engine additives as they are consumed during normal use. To Puradyn customers this can mean significant dollar savings associated with 1) extended oil drains through reduced purchases of new oil; 2) reduced disposal costs of waste oil; 3) longer engine life with less replacement of worn parts; 4) less downtime/increased productivity; and 5) better resale value due to less engine wear. Payback is usually less than one year with a high ROI. In addition, the Purifiner helps protect our environment by substantially reducing waste oil, which is a primary source of environmental pollution.
Puradyn system is applicable for internal combustion engines, automatic transmissions and hydraulic use in the automotive, transportation, construction, marine, agriculture, mining, military, and power generator industries.
