TransTechnology Completes Acquisition of Ellison Holdings PLC

    LIBERTY CORNER, N.J.--July 20, 1999-- TransTechnology Corporation announced today that it has completed its acquisition of Ellison Holdings PLC, previously announced.
    Ellison, headquartered in Glusburn, West Yorkshire, England, manufactures retaining and snap rings as well as lockwashers for the automotive, heavy vehicle, and industrial markets.
    TransTechnology Corporation is a New Jersey based manufacturer of specialty fasteners and helicopter rescue hoists, cargo hooks and aerospace products with over 1,750 employees at its twelve facilities in the US, UK, Germany and Brasil.
