Insilco Holding Co. Sells McKenica Division's Assets and Intellectual PropertyCOLUMBUS, Ohio, July 16 -- Insilco Holding Co. (OTC Bulletin Board: INSL) today reported that it had reached an agreement for the sale of its McKenica Division's assets and intellectual property to Jackson, Tennessee-based Mill Masters. McKenica, a manufacturer of heat exchanger tube mills and related capital equipment, recorded sales of $7.1 million in 1998. This announcement follows an earlier announcement in May, 1999 in which Insilco said it would close its McKenica Division in the third quarter of 1999. McKenica currently employs 50 employees at its Buffalo plant. While financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, the Company reported that it would record a loss on the closure of the plant, which will be reflected in second quarter results.
