Magna Announces New AppointmentAURORA, Ontario, July 16 -- Magna International Inc. (TSE: MG.A, MG.B; ME: MG.A; NYSE: MGA) President and CEO Don Walker is pleased to announced that Craig Winn will be joining Magna effective July 26, 1999 as President, Symatec North America. Winn joins Magna after 19 years at DaimlerChrysler where he was most recently Vice-President, Jeep Platform Engineering. Winn's expertise in understanding complete vehicles and his strong engineering background is an excellent complement to existing Symatec and Steyr-Daimler-Puch organizations. The move is supported by DaimlerChrysler as it will strengthen Magna's expertise as a key supplier to DaimlerChrysler in major modules of a vehicle and contract vehicle engineering and development. Winn will work closely with John Thomas, Symatec Executive Vice-President and Jurgen Stockmar, Magna Executive Vice-President, Engineering, Research & Development relative to engineering and operating issues within Symatec.
