"It's a bright, clean high-tech silver that we're seeing in a lot of metal influences. We will continue to have fun with Prowler's paint palette in the coming model year." For 2000, Prowler will be offered in three colors including Prowler Red, Prowler Black and Prowler Silver. Black bumpers will be standard with all colors. To date, 3,016 Prowlers have been sold in North America. Of those Prowlers sold, 1,476 were purple, 651 were black, 549 were yellow and 340 were red. Prowler was first offered only in purple. In March of 1998, yellow was added to the color palette followed by black in November of the same year. In December of 1998, Prowler Red was added to the palette. Prowler first appeared as a concept car at the 1993 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. It's another "concept-to-reality" car that blends stunning design with technological innovation. Favorable response to the vehicle prompted the former Chrysler Corporation to go forward with production. A production version of the Prowler was unveiled at the 1996 North American International Auto Show. Production for Prowler began in July of 1997. Prowler is manufactured alongside the Dodge Viper at DaimlerChrysler's Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit.
