Snap-on to Market MotorVac's New LEAKCHEK-TM- Leak Detection System

    SANTA ANA, Calif.--July 14, 1999--MotorVac Technologies Inc. Wednesday announced that Snap-on Diagnostics, an operating group of Snap-on Inc. , will distribute MotorVac's new LEAKCHEK(TM) Leak Detection System through its network of technical representatives.
    Snap-on will market LEAKCHEK(TM) to emission inspection and repair stations and other service shops that perform engine diagnostic services. This new patent pending product was announced earlier in a company news release dated May 12, 1999.
    "The LEAKCHEK(TM) was developed to resolve the current difficulties technicians have in testing for leaks," said Lee W. Melody, president and chief executive officer of MotorVac.
    "Present methods are inconsistent and unreliable. The new LEAKCHEK(TM) system combines pressure-testing technology with the use of a visible, environmentally safe vapor in a portable diagnostic tool. This new tool will accurately and quickly detect leaks in the vacuum system, exhaust system, evaporative system and other automotive systems. A test for vacuum leaks can be completed in about 3 minutes. The LEAKCHEK(TM) will save technicians hours of diagnostic time and is a must have for emissions related repair."
    According to the company, Snap-on Diagnostics also distributes the company's MotorVac CarbonClean(R) Systems, TRANSTECH(R) ATF Exchangers and CarbonTune(R) "Quick Service" Fuel System Cleaners.
